 Field Walk 026

The systematic field-walk of a DMV led by archaeologists Jo Hambley and Neil Parker (above). All the finds were placed in individually numbered bags and pinned to the field with a flag. The location of every find was recorded. The data from this can be plotted and compared with aerial photographs and the mapped earthworks.

Pot sherd

One of the pots from the village has been re-created by Andrew MacDonald of the Pot Shop, based on this single sherd and on other archaeological evidence.
